Houston flooded: Storm HARVEY destroys town and causes untold damage

Tropical Storm Harvey left six dead so far and dozens injured as he passed through Texas in the United States.

Five victims are from Houston, a city with 2 million inhabitants. The region was hit hard by the storm on Sunday. According to Mayor Sylvester Turner, there are "floods everywhere". The weather service says the winds are up to 75 km / h.

Following the announcement of the deaths in Houston, it was confirmed that the storm left another dead person in the city of Rockport, also in Texas. The victim did not have the identity revealed and was arrested at home during a fire, city officials said.

Houston's main airport was closed due to weather conditions. The weather service said Harvey was an "unprecedented event."
