IndependentCuban-American filmmaker Agustin Blazquez’s (Covering Cuba, Elian, Che Guevara-The Other Side of an Icon) new unauthorized feature documentary premieres on his YouTube channel on Monday, July 24th.
THE TRUMP EFFECT: DEPROGRAMMING THE AMERICAN MIND explores the psychological meaning of Donald J. Trump’s election as President of the United States. It details President Trump’s challenge to Politically Correct ideology in American life, as “Deprogrammer in Chief”. The film concludes that the President has the potential to succeed, by changing the way Americans think about ourselves and the world. It features analysis from author and filmmaker Laurence Jarvik (PBS: Behind the Screen, Who Shall Live and Who Shall Die?).
Issues include: New York Values, The “Resistance,” 9/11 & Islamic Terrorism, Immigration and Muslim Refugees, Race Relations, Feminism, LGBTQ Awareness, Anti-Semitism, Political Correctness, Fake News, and of course—Twitter.
Sure to provoke debate, THE TRUMP EFFECT: DEPROGRAMMING THE AMERICAN MIND is a pre-emptive reply to Michael Moore’s announced Farenheit 11/9 and Trumpland mockumentaries, as well as media coverage of the 45th President of the United States.
