World War II Marine veteran Marvin Strombo returned to the village of Higashishirakawa in Japan to return a Japanese flag that belonged to the Yasue family after keeping it for 73 years.

Strombo was reunited with the Yasue family in a ceremony on August 15. The flag is a family heirloom and belonged to the late Sadao Yasue. Credit: DVIDS via Storyful
