Authorities just seized this electric submarine in Chocó, Colombia.

Unlike diesel submarines, this battery-powered sub does not produce exhaust. This makes it difficult for authorities to detect.

The watercraft was going to be used to smuggle cocaine and marijuana, but authorities say it was captured before its maiden voyage.

This electric sub was built over six months in the jungle at a cost of over $1.5 million. Proving once again that narco trafficker are always finding innovative ways to smuggle drugs
