Syrians held solidarity marches across opposition areas on August 13 following the murder of seven Syrian Civil Defence volunteers in the Idlib town of Sarmin a day earlier.

The Syrian Civil Defence said on August 12 that the attack was carried out by a group who stole equipment and vehicles from the building of the Syrian Civil Defence in Sarmin, warning people to be aware of unofficial uses of branded vehicles.
