Senior Iraqi military commander Major-General Najm al-Jabouri told Reuters that he doesn't expect the battle for Tal Afar to be "large or complicated" due to low morale in the ISIS fighters there. Speaking on 30 July, he added that military intelligence indicated that Isis had between 1,500 and 2,000 in the city.
