The great Franco-British actress Jeanne Moreau, who had a successful career on the stage before becoming the muse of François Truffaut and Louis Malle, among others, from the early 1960s, passed away today, July 31, 2017, at the age of 89. A consummate artist and feminist icon, Moreau symbolized a certain idea of French actresses: she was a free spirit. This short video pays tribute to her.
