A new crew has arrived at the International Space Station to boost US research projects aboard the $100 billion orbiting laboratory.

Strapped inside the capsule were American Randy Bresnik, Russian Sergey Ryazanskiy, and Europe’s oldest astronaut 60-year-old Italian, Paolo Nespoli.

“We’re feeling and looking a lot better up here because it’s a lot cooler up here than it was down there,” said a relaxed-looking Randy Bresnik talking to family and friends waiting to hear news of their safe arrival.

The men will join two NASA astronauts and a Russian cosmonaut already aboard the station.

NASA is using the station to prepare for human missions to the moon and Mars and for medical and other research.
