A dramatic video has emerged of a man running to safety as a rally car crashes into a barrier near him during the national Australian Mitta Mountain Rally.

The footage, shot on May 6 in Mitta Mitta, VIC, Australia, captures the moment Warren Lee and David Lethlean's Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX went off the road as they braked too late ahead of a turn.

Luckily no one was injured in the accident.
