Seven people were rescued from a seaplane that became disabled after a hard landing in New York’s East River on the afternoon of July 21.

ABC7 reported that the seaplane’s pontoon broke upon landing. Images from local media and eyewitnesses showed the plane lopsided, with its left wing partially submerged in the water.
