When you fight these, you know what it's like to fight a TIE Interceptor. Droid fighters have tiny hitboxes and are very fast, but a direct hit from all your lasers will hit them. I changed my spread to single fire and found that to be quite effective. It just takes a steady hand and pinpoint accuracy (both of which I lack) to take these out in a timely manner most of the time.
