Top of the Popes: Pope Francis more popular than Catholic Church
A TEAM of top researchers have discovered that Catholics prefer the Pope - to their own Church. It also revealed 42 were convinced the Pope is capable of solving problems, but a measly 14 per cent thought the same of the Church.Werner Beutelmeyer, the head of the LMI, said: "Appreciation of Pope Francis is miles above that of the church. "His are absolutely peak values."He also said abuse scandals in the Church and controversial bishop nominations in Austria under Pope John Paul II "shattered trust in the church".
