CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS — Men who engage in frequent “me-time” can reduce their chances of getting prostate cancer by as much as a third, according to Harvard University researchers.

Ejaculation may flush potentially cancerous toxins out of the prostate, the researchers say in a study published by the journal European Urology.

The optimum number of potentially life-saving five-knuckle-shuffles per month is apparently 21.

About one American man in seven can expect to get prostate cancer at some point in his life, according to the American Cancer Society. More than 160,000 new cases of the disease are expected to be diagnosed this year in the U.S. alone.
