James Comey has been in the headlines for the better part of a year now. The 56-year-old former FBI director has been at the center of the Russian hacking and Hillary Clinton email investigations. Comey, a lifelong man of law, faced ongoing scrutiny regarding his handling of both investigations that ultimately bled into his relationship with President Donald Trump. Comey was relieved of his duties by Trump in May after serving as FBI director for three years. The New York native then testified before the Senate in June, detailing his run-ins with Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Comey claimed Trump had been overstepping his bounds and that he tried persuading him to drop the FBI investigation into ex-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
