A large wildfire burned through the Italian commune of Piancastagnaio, located in the Sienese countryside, on Sunday, July 9, prompting the evacuation of four properties.

Emergency services battled the fire overnight and three farms were evacuated, as well as a nursing home, reported Il Tirreno. The blaze began on Sunday and the incident was considered “critical”.
