Microsoft fired thousands of employees to focus on its Cloud platform. The company said 75 percent of the layoffs will impact employees working outside of the United States. Most of the people who are losing their jobs work in sales and are working in sales and marketing. While the exact number of employees affected are unknown, Microsoft said the number is in the thousands range.
