If you're smelling your food before eating it, you might end up gaining more weight. A new study at the University of California, Berkeley found the smell of good could impact how our body processes calories. Researchers came to their conclusion using gene therapy to remove sense of smell in obese mice. Scientists found that the mice who couldn't smell ended up losing weight as opposed to the mice who could smell. The study concluded that smelling food causes body to store the energy rather than burn it off.
