As the G-20 protests continue in Hamburg, Germany, Melania Trump is reportedly unable to leave her hotel and join other spouses for various events, notes CNN.
NBC's Hallie Jackson tweeted, "Police won't clear @FLOTUS to leave residence in Hamburg right now b/c of protests, her spox confirms: 'It's unfortunate.'"
Melania also tweeted Friday morning, "Thinking of those hurt in #Hamburg protests. Hope everyone stay safe! #G20"
According to CNN, "The spouses of G20 leaders are scheduled to tour a climate change center in Hamburg and take a river cruise while the world leaders attend the summit, according to media reports."
The first lady did make a public appearance in Poland on Thursday when she delivered brief remarks before President Trump's address.
Melania said in part, "As many of you know, a main focus of my husband's presidency is safety and security of the American people. I think all of us can agree people should be able to live their lives without fear, no matter what country they live in. That is my wish for all of us around the world."
