A funny video has emerged of a dog fiercely barking at a piece of plastic stuck in a tree.

In the footage, shot on February 28 in Blacksburg, VA, USA, Lex the dog trying to fend off a threat which isn't really one.

"Upon closer inspection it turned out to be just some debris stuck in a tree, but she was very upset about it.," her owner wrote online.
