In a language war, a Karnataka man defaced Hindi Nameplate of a a restaurant in a mall near Bengaluru’s Eco tech park. The whole incident caught on camera. The anti-Hindi pro-Kannad protests erupted after the usage of Hindi language in the Namma metro rail signboards in the city. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah opposed the move saying most of the funds for Namma Metro came from the state and not the Centre.
