According to WNCN, a fisherman was attempting to reel in the 6ft-long shark near Johnnie Mercer Pier on the evening of June 29. Two other men venture into the sea to help reel in his catch. But when one of the men tried to grab the shark's fin, the animal whipped around and bit his lower arm. Further footage and pictures, uploaded to Facebook the following day, showed people trying to release the shark after it had been pulled to the beach.
