Raagdesh, a historical thriller from ace director Tigmanshu Dhulia. The story of three young officers of Indian National Army (INA), who were the closest aides of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. It portrays their valour in battlefields and their poignant story in the courtroom.

The film revolves around the famous Lal Quila (Red Fort) Trials, where Prem Sehgal, Shah Nawaz Khan and Gurbux Singh Dhillon were tried by the Britishers in an open court for revolting against the British King and murder.

INA was formed out of the officers and soldiers of regular British Indian Army, who chose to fight for the independence of India. It fought and lost at the borders, but the fight continued in the courtroom.

British wanted to try and hang these officers at Lal Quila, in response to the slogans of Netaji Bose, who had given the calls of 'दिल्ली चलो' and 'लाल क़िले पर तिरंगा फहराएँगे' । But the attempts to humiliate Netaji and his memories backfired. It led to such upsurge and fervour for independence that brought freedom to the doorsteps of India. The case made the British realise that the time has come them to 'Quit India'.

Red Fort Trials were watched by the entire world with great anticipation, as Netaji had sided with Hitler in his quest for pushing the British out of India. After Hitler and his allies lost the World War II, those who remained alive were tried and sentenced. Nuremberg Trials and other Trials are well known.

The film is a highly gripping drama of how the Trials went in India. The war scenes are highly authentic and capture the pain and agony of fighters who lost the war but won a nation!

The film is a Rajya Sabha Television presentation, which begins a new genre of entertaining, yet authentic historical drama films in Bollywood.

It's yet another masterpiece from Tigmanshu Dhulia after his period drama 'Paan Singh Tomar'
