Facebook announced on Tuesday that it now has over 2 billion monthly active users. "As of this morning, the Facebook community is now officially two billion people," founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg posted.
“Each day, more than 175 million people share a Love reaction, and on average, over 800 million people like something on Facebook,” product manager Guillermo Spiller said in a press release. Last week, Facebook changed its "mission" from "Make the world more open and connected" to "Bring the world closer together", a move that reflects its growing emphasis on building online communities.
