Syrian President Bashar al-Assad climbed into a Russian Sukhoi Su-35 during trip to Hmeymim Air Base located near Latakia in western Syria, June 27, 2017. Assad was given a tour of the base by Russian military officials and reportedly briefed on the whereabouts of militants affiliated with Al-Qaeda and attempting to overthrow his Assad's government.
