Mizzima commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the 8-8-88 uprising in Burma and ten years anniversary of Mizzima News in Kolkata, India on 7 August 2008. Mr Subhas Chakraborty who is minister of transport, sports and youth services in the Government of West Bengal, India released a newly launched book "Come Rain or Shine" published by Mizzima News. Mr Subir Bhaumik, BBC Bureau Chief in Kolkata opened the Photo Exhibition on Burma.
