Some people are down on their luck… Then you have Rande Gerber who not only married Cindy Crawford, but also sold his tequila company, Casamigos, for $1 billion dollars after starting it “on accident.”

Gerber tells Good Morning America, “We never planned on starting a tequila company. You know, we made Casamigos just for us to drink… So, four years later when we’re offered a billion dollars to sell the company, yeah, we were kind of shocked.”

Humble brag.

Yes, Gerber and his business partner, George Clooney, were reportedly unsatisfied with the tequila brands they drank on vacation, so they just decided to start their own… Now, European beverage company Diageo has offered a cool eight figures for the brand.

Still, Gerber plans to keep business as usual. He tells GMA, “George will keep his role… Working on the marketing with me. The great thing is we do everything in house so even though we were bought by Diageo… We’ll remain a standalone company. We’ll operate it as we have since day one.”

It’ll still look and taste the same, the only different thing will be their bank accounts.
