A 7-year-old girl from Louisiana is in the midst of traveling the country and giving police officers hugs.
Her name is Rosalyn Baldwin and her goal is to hug an officer in every U.S. state, reports CNN.
Rosalyn's mother says the girl came up with the plan last year after police shootings in Dallas and Baton Rouge, notes WWL.
She admits that when the goal was to hug an officer in every country on Earth she wasn’t entirely enthusiastic, but once it was narrowed to locales in the U.S., the whole family got on board.
Thus far, they’ve made it to 16 states, including Illinois, Oklahoma, and Nebraska, and the hugs have been very much appreciated by all of the officers who’ve received them.
The goal is to cover all 50 states within 2 years; the family has set up a GoFundMe page to fund the mission.
