Kerala is witnessing price rise of edible and essential commodities to a large scale. All food items including vegetables have been on an uncontrolled spiral. Small onions and rice have seen a drastic increase in price with small onions in retail markets selling at Rs 135 for a kg and low supply to the market.

സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് നിത്യോപയോഗ സാധനങ്ങളുടെ വിലക്കയറ്റം ജനങ്ങളെ നട്ടം തിരിക്കുന്നു. അരിയുടെയും പച്ചക്കറിയുടെയും വില കുതിച്ചുയരുകയാണ്. ചില്ലറ വില്‍പനശാലകളിലൂടെ 50 രൂപക്ക് മുകളിലാണ് അരിയുടെ വില. ചെറിയ ഉള്ളികളുടെ വില 135 രൂപ വരെയാണ് വില ഉയര്‍ന്നത്. മാര്‍ക്കറ്റില്‍ ഉള്ളിയുടെ വരവും കുറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. സവാളയുടെ വില 10ല്‍ നിന്നും 15 ആയി.
