Police arrested at least four people who gathered at an unauthorized rally against corruption in Vladivostok on June 12, the national holiday of Russia.
Similar rallies were planned across the country for the same day, and three people, including a protest organizer, were reportedly arrested in Blagoveshchensk.
Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was reported to have been arrested en route to a demonstration in Moscow. Navalny had called the previous day for protesters in Moscow to defy authorities and move a planned rally to a location near the Kremlin.
