Massive clashes erupted on the streets of Sao Paulo on Sunday, as thousands of people protested against the newly appointed President Michel Temer and decried the Senate vote, 61-20, in favour of removing former leader Dilma Rousseff from office.
Police used tear gas, stun grenades and water cannons to disperse the crowds. A group of protesters burned a coffin with a photo of Michel Temer. Several injures as well as arrests were reported.
