The Volusia County Sheriff’s Marine Unit rescued two stranded jet skiers on Monday, June 5, after they were missing for more than 12 hours. This video shows the rescue.
The two jet skiers were reported missing at around 9:30 pm on June 4. Despite poor weather, the Marine Unit stayed out all night and into Monday morning, according to a Facebook post about the incident.
Air One spotted the jet skiers on Monday morning around 7:30 am and led a rescue airboat to them. The men suffered from exposure and one man had a stingray barb to one foot.
