Al Pacino to play Penn State's Joe Paterno in new HBO movie

Al Pacino has landed a role, with the former Scarface actor set to play legendary Penn State coach Joe Paterno in a new HBO film about the Jerry Sandusky scandal. According to Variety, the film with be directed and executively produced by Barry Levinson. The movie will deal with Paterno's rise to the top of the all-time wins list for college football, followed immediately by the Sandusky sex abuse scandal and the aftermath of it. The Paterno movie is Pacino's most recent addition to his HBO resumé, which also included the movies 'You Don't Know Jack' and 'Phil Spector.'
