After exiting the Texas Capitol in Austin on May 29, hundreds continued to rally outside the building against legislation that could ban sanctuary cities in Texas and require government officials to adhere to federal immigration laws.

Many of the protesters are local families who are likely to be affected by the Trump administration’s federal immigration policies, and have been joined by at least 60 New Mexico activists from United We Dream.
