The Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, passed by the US Congress last week, has become a green light for the families of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia. Allowing victims of terrorism to go after foreign governments, it also opened the door to lawsuits against the US - something Barack Obama, whose veto on the law was overriden, has been worried about for some time.
