Parts of Sri Lanka were under water following one of the worst rains in over a decade, according to meteorology officials.

This video from May 27 shows floodwaters on streets of Kaduwela, a western suburb of the capital Colombo.

At least 122 people had been killed in flooding and landslides that affected more than 400,000 people, according to officials, Reuters reported. More than 2,000 troops were deployed in flood relief efforts. Sri Lanka had appealed for international assistance.
