Hundreds of mourners gathered in Albert Square at Manchester’s Town Hall on May 23 to honor the 22 people who were killed in bomb attack after an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena on May 22.
Solemn music played during a moment of silence for the victims, many of whom were children and adolescents. The crowd responded to speeches given by members of the Manchester City Council with chants and messages of support, and left candles, flowers and notes to memorialize the victims.
