EN: Out Run (アウトラン) is an arcade game released by Sega in 1986. It was designed by Yu Suzuki and developed by Sega AM2. The game was a critical and commercial success, becoming one of the best-selling video games of its time,[7][8] winning the Golden Joystick Award for Game of the Year,[8][9] and being listed among the best games of all time. It is notable for its innovative hardware (including a moving cabinet), pioneering graphics and music, innovative features such as offering the player choices in both soundtrack and nonlinear routes, and its strong theme of luxury and relaxation. In retrospective interviews, Yu Suzuki has classified Out Run not as a racing game, but as a "driving" game

FR: Out Run (アウトラン ), également appelé OutRun ou Outrun, est un jeu vidéo d'arcade de course automobile conçu par Yū Suzuki et Sega-AM2 et commercialisé par Sega en 1986 sur borne d'arcade. Il fut porté sur de nombreux autres supports.
Le jeu a été un grand succès chez les amateurs d'arcade, à tel point qu'il est souvent considéré comme un des meilleurs jeu de course d'arcade. Il est remarquable de par son matériel novateur (comprenant une cabine de jeu mobile sur un système hydraulique), ses graphismes et sa musique innovantes, la possibilité de choisir la musique d'ambiance (soundtrack) ainsi que son parcours, et son thème fort de luxe et de détente. Lors d'entretiens rétrospectifs au jeu, Yū Suzuki a classé Out Run non pas comme un jeu de course, mais comme un jeu de « conduite ».
