No. 4 seed Georgia State eliminated No. 6 seed Troy with an 8-0 win in run-rule fashion on Thursday evening at the 2016 Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship.

Georgia State (32-27) advances in the loser's bracket by winning the elimination game, and will face another must-win contest tomorrow against the winner of tonight's finale between No. 2 seed South Alabama and No. 8 seed UL Monroe. Troy fell to 31-25 overall with the loss.
