Sounds like we might have a little boy band beef growing on our hands.

In a new interview with Music Choice, former One Direction star Liam Payne explained why he isn’t particularly fond of Harry Styles’ single, Sign of the Times, off his recently released self titled debut album.

Payne said he heard Harry’s song and to be honest, it’s not his sort of music. He added that it’s not something he’d listen to, but he thinks he did a great job doing what he wanted to do.

But he kind of hedged his bet.

Payne said Harry would most likely be turned off by his solo endeavors as well.

He explained that Harry would say the same thing about him because he doesn’t really listen to hip hop music.

So you can start to speculate and wonder if this is an attempt at shading a former bandmate… or just one guy being honest with his thoughts.

Harry has yet to respond.
