The New York Fire Department confirmed that at least one person was killed and 19 others were injured when a car crashed into a sidewalk in Times Square in New York City on May 18.

The driver has been identified as a 26-year-old Hispanic male from the Bronx with a history of driving while intoxicated. Local news reports say that he is currently being tested for his blood alcohol concentration levels.
