Flooding Turns Road in St Catherine Parish Into a River

Torrential rain and widespread flooding in Jamaica turned a road in the southeast parish of St. Catherine into a river on Tuesday, May 16.

This footage is described as showing the flooded St. John’s Road, near Spanish Town, in St. Catherine.

At least 30 people were rescued from floodwaters in the town of Linstead, located within St. Catherine, according to the Jamaica Gleaner. Aside from St. Catherine, a flash flooding warning was issued for several other parishes, including St. Ann, Manchester and St. Thomas.
