Following the release of his new project 'Too High to Riot' Bas stopped by Sway in the Morning staying humble on the way up, it would've been easy for Bas to play off the success of J. Cole and carry around an ego as if he already "made it". But, then again Cole put in that work in a similar fashion despite being signed to Jay-Z so in retrospect it's not hard to tell why the Dreamville team is so strong. There is absolutely no substitute for that work ethic, it's that hunger and drive that pushed Bas to take on the challenge of building his own fan base jokingly calling himself "a n*gga with no fans" even turning down an opportunity to play the Garden with a mindset of "I want to earn my spot on that stage" - rare.
