Last week a tragedy took place in NYC as T.I.'s headlining show at Irving Plaza broke out in gun fire. With New York native Troy Ave currently being held on attempted murder charges we spoke to some Soundset performers about the incident and stereotype that rap promotes violence.
From Murs and 9th Wonder to Anderson .Paak and Raury, these artists candidly speak on the positives that rap brings and how that is never portrayed in the media. They also speak on films and famous actors glorifying violence and how that is rarely brought up in cases like this.
