HAVRE DE GRACE, MARYLAND — A bus carrying school children from Philadelphia was hit by a car and overturned on a highway in Maryland on Monday morning, injuring 30 people.
The charter bus was carrying 26 children and three chaperones of Charles Henry School to a field trip in Washington D.C. It crashed on Interstate 95 after being hit by a blue Honda Civic.
According to WBAL-TV, the car moved around the left side of the bus and apparently lost control, clipping the front of the bus after over-correcting. The bus then went off the road, struck an embankment, and overturned.
The driver of the car that caused the crash has been interviewed by police and may face charges.
