About 2,250 members of the Canadian Armed Forces have been deployed to assist responders to ongoing floods in Quebec, Canada, the CBC reported on May 12.

Drone footage, recorded on May 12, shows the extent of the Ottawa River’s overflow into the streets of Gatineau, Canada, after a week of flooding.

An estimated 3,000 homes have been flooded across Quebec, and almost 2,000 people were evacuated from their homes in the preceding week, following floods that also affected areas in Ontario and New Brunswick.

An armoured vehicle can be seen travelling through the area at the 2 minute mark.
