French astronaut Thomas Pesquet posted footage on May 12 described as showing nighttime lights glowing in Europe, as seen from the International Space Station (ISS).
Pesquet, currently on board the ISS for a six-month mission, said there were thunderstorms seen in the distance in the footage, and pointed out that “the atmosphere [changed] from green to orange” during the clip.
