Russian blogger convicted for playing Pokemon Go in church

A Russian YouTuber who filmed himself playing Pokemon Go in church was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison for "inciting religious hatred." Ruslan Sokolovsky originally posted the video in August 2016 and has been detained since October. Judge Yekaterina Shoponyak ruled that his videos showed “disrespect for society” and “intended to offend religious sentiments”. The video, which has been played more than a million times, shows Sokolovsky playing the game in the Church of All Saints.
