There’s a new sheriff in town… if he gets his way.
Shaquille O’Neal is seriously contemplating a run for the office of sheriff in 2020, citing that it’s not about politics, it’s just something he’s always wanted to do.
Shaq holds residency in Florida and Georgia, and he didn’t clarify which state he’d duke it out in, but he alluded to the broken relationship between police and the black community.
Shaq said that when he was coming up people love and respected the police and the deputies, and he wants to be the one to bring that back, especially in the community that he serves.
O’Neal is already an honorary deputy in Georgia’s Clayton County and he’s been a reserve police officer in Los Angeles, Miami Beach, Tempe Arizona, Golden Beach Florida, and Doral Florida.
And if you think limited experience will keep him down, think again.
Shaq says that he knows how to run a team and he would put together the right team to help him with the job.
So… would he get your vote?
