Real estate agent Chantal Vaillancourt took a canoe trip around West-Laval neighborhood in Quebéc on May 9, showing the extent of ongoing flooding in the area.

Water levels reportedly stabilized and even dropped in some areas of Québec on May 9. More than 1,700 homes have already been evacuated in the area; police and firefighters are assisting people in homes damaged by the flood.
