Baby Owl Stranded in Flooded Waters Rescued

A wildlife official saved a baby owl stranded on a piece of driftwood near Double Creek, Oklahoma, on May 4.

Oklahoma Game Warden Joe Alexander responded to a call about the owlet by a concerned citizen who spotted it on Oologah Lake. Alexander and a local fireman took a boat to reach it.

The bird was sent to Wild Heart Ranch for evaluation and rehabilitation, according to Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.
